The Mission of the First Presbyterian:

We support three levels of need: congregation, community, international

This church tries to follow Jesus’ teachings in Matthew 25 for serving Him. For emergencies within our congregation, our pastor has a discretionary fund.

We contribute monthly to the Lee County Food Bank. We donate to other local causes such as the overhead and scholarships to the Lee County Youth Center. Our contribution helps them provide affordable after school and summer care. We also provide several high school scholarships. Each month, the church gives money to a different aid organization. These include:

Combined Community Action – Meals on Wheels, fans or heaters for needy, etc.

Back to School Program

American Cancer Association

Operation Christmas Child

Mo Ranch – Presbyterian camp

Children’s Advocacy Center

Family Violence Center

Court Appointed Special Advocates

Kairos Torch – prison ministry for prisoners under 25

Bluebonnet Trails – counseling and medical services

F5 Campaign – weekend food for needy kids

Camp Tejas

Beyond our community, we recently supported missionaries in Ukraine and Uganda. We helped people affected by the Hawaii and North Texas fires. We also give to the Presbyterian Theological Education Fund, the Mission Benevolence Fund, and the four Presbyterian collaborative offerings.
